LE MONDE, des Mille Couleurs, connects gastronomy in Belgium and France to the bounty of nature through a 24 microseasons harvest in regenerative wildfarming, permaculture, agro-ecology and syntropic foodforests. From botanical greens, forgotten vegetables and edible flowers, each plant is invited to grow its full expression, to restore biodiversity and create more nutritious and vibrant food. ARCHITECTURE
Eco-agriculture resonating with architecture.
The regenerative agriculture principles inspired the innovative design process for the contemporary farmhouse, built almost entirely from the present earth biotope around. The residence is a living experiment in sustainable and regenerative architecture, featuring circular materials and load-bearing masonry walls made from moulded earth blocks and earth mortar, all of which is sourced locally from soils excavated on site and in the surrounding area. A project realised together with TOOP Architecture & BC Materials.
BIOMARKET
Wildfarming harvest from Le Monde.
Every saturday morning 10-13H, Le Monde hosts a live biomarket on the farm biotope for local foodlovers, conscious families and sustainable activists. Fresh harvest : Hokkaido pumpkin! Pumpkin, butternut squash, Chinese cabbage, savoy cabbage, pointed cabbage, cauliflower, red and white cabbage, Brussels sprouts, leeks and celeriac. We are nature, nature is us. LE MONDE actively shares its circular and inspiring wildfarming vision with the community. Through soilmates, culinary experiences, artistic documentaries, scientific teambuildings, (school) workshops and traineeships.
